Parks

Central Park – the soul of the neighborhood - is two blocks east – (turn right exiting the building). The park is exceptionally beautiful. The website www.CentralPark.com provides great information about the park and its many features and activities. There are also great links for runners and race walkers alike.

Riverside Park is a beautiful stretch along the Hudson River – west of the building. The area known as Riverside Park South is a short walk from Lincoln Spencer, (turn left on 70th St. and walk to the ramp at the end.) The park consists of a vast area of winding walkways, an esplanade, and Pier I, a 715-foot recreational pier. Details about the park’s many activities can be found at www.nycgovparks.org.

Further south along the Hudson, stretching from the Battery north to mid-town, is Hudson River Park, another beautiful recreational area along the water. Visit www.hudsonriverpark.org for more information about the park’s many features. This park is expanding northward, and someday will actually connect to Riverside Park.
